Elmar Rückert is head of the Chair of Cyber-Physical Systems at the University of Leoben. From 2018 to February 2021, he was a junior professor for robotics and autonomous systems at the University of Lübeck. In 2014, he received his PhD from Graz University of Technology and subsequently worked for 4 years as a PhD researcher and group leader at the Institute for Intelligent Autonomous Systems at Darmstadt University of Technology. His research includes stochastic methods in robotics, machine learning, deep neural networks, and reinforcement learning. In 2019, Elmar Rückert won the German AI Young Investigator Award, which is endowed with 15,000 euros.
