Elisabeth Preuhs (née Hoppe) studied Medical Informatics at the OTH Regensburg, as well as FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. She is currently doing her PhD in the field of medical imaging and reconstruction at the Chair of Pattern Recognition at FAU in close cooperation with Siemens Healthineers. Even during her studies, she was excited to apply new methods such as artificial intelligence to medical problems. With her scientific contributions, she has succeeded in pioneering work in this field and won several awards, such as the GI AI Newcomer Award 2019, as well as an FAU Innovator Award 2020.
