Sami Nenno is a doctoral researcher in the Public Interest AI research project at HIIG. He has a background in data science and philosophy. 

In his research he deals with disinformation in different ways. Sami's PhD project is, on the one hand, to shed more light on the role of disinformation in public discourse. On the other hand, he is investigating which fact-checking processes can be automated to support the work of fact-checking organizations. Furthermore, Sami Nenno is working on methods to make machine learning more sustainable.
