Dominik Raabe

Research assistant, doctoral student

Dominik Raabe is a research assistant and PhD student at the Institute of Training Science and Sports Informatics at the German Sport University Cologne and a consultant for teams in competitive sports. From 2011 - 2015 he studied Cognitive Science at the University of Osnabrück and from 2016 - 2020 Scientific Computing at the TU Berlin. Since starting his PhD in 2020 in Cologne, he has been leading the MM4SPA project on AI-supported, multimodal analysis of sports data, among other projects. In particular, his research investigates collective motion behavior with methods of (graph-based) Deep Learning. Furthermore, he is the developer of the open source software floodlight, which is used by teams and companies worldwide for performance analysis in football and handball.
