Leonie Beinig

Project Manager

Leonie Beining is project manager in the project "ExamAI - AI Testing and Auditing, which is being carried out by the Foundation for New Responsibility in collaboration with the Gesellschaft für Informatik, the Algorithmic Accountability Lab at the TU Kaiserslautern, the Institute for Legal Informatics at Saarbrücken University, and Fraunhofer IESE. In the project, Leonie is responsible for identifying policy recommendations for implementing appropriate testing and auditing procedures for AI systems in the areas of industrial production and human resource management. Previously, Leonie was project manager in the project "Algorithms for the Common Good", where she focused on the traceability of algorithmic decision-making processes.

At the beginning of her time at SNV, Leonie was a project manager in the project "Common Good in the Digital Age" and developed strategies on how civil society actors can get more involved in shaping digitalization.

Prior to SNV, she worked in the Global Issues Research Group at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik), where her research included the potential of new technologies to protect children in armed conflict. Leonie studied political and administrative science at the Universities of Konstanz and Potsdam, Sciences Po Lille and the University of Bergen.
